The goal of this CUS is to identify where military operations and community growth work well together, where they may conflict, and what steps can enhance both. Topics include land use, development, noise, traffic, safety, and communication between the base and the public.

The CUS is funded by the U.S. Department of War (DoW) Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation, with the City of Minot as project sponsor and the Minot Area Chamber EDC supporting project delivery, in cooperation with Minot AFB and regional partners.
